Noi Rehw-Setlas
Noi Rehw-Setlas
Watch your every step. Every sound. He is attuned to violence, a moment from it with each measured breath he takes.
Bolt of the Wilds
Born in the Golmore Jungle, and his formative years spent training to become a Warder, the jack maintains many of the lessons and memories of training he bore witness to. His speed and raw strength were honed to, to the point that he was oft referred to as a Bolt - movement like lightning, followed by a strike like thunder. While times and circumstances have changed, nothing about Noi's natural talents have faltered - in the wilds, he remains a true hunter, and his prey needs be wary should he find them.
A Home Lost
Once, born to the Wilds of Dalmasca Inferior, the viera was taken from his home and exiled in the same breath. Never able to return, Noi has seen much of the Far East since, whisked from place to place whenever his new 'saviours' needed to flee their current situation. He has seen so few of his own kind, and let alone other people, kept out of sight, and trained to serve loyally. With no home ever built or established around him since Golmore, the hare is left distrustful of others, and most of all of those who believe that they can bring family to him.
The Once Warder
Born male and fated to serve his village as a Wood Warder, Noi never shunned from his duties. He learned to hunt and fight from a young age, the matrons of the village ensuring to stoke the fire of eagerness, and teach him the valuable lessons of why the Warders were an important and necessary part of Vieran culture. On his fourteenth nameday, he was whisked away, never to be seen again. Trained in a variety of weapons, Noi was taken from adequate, to a deadly warrior, granted his place among the Worldly-bound Warders, with the title of Rehw-Setlas, a title he continues to bear, despite having left the Wood long ago.
A Feral Touch
Deep inside of Noi's chest, burns a flame that has never been extinguished, instead, stoked to burn even brighter, just below the surface. Kept walking the fine line between civilized and truly savage, the jack is in constant check of his emotions. A flat, plain veneer of emotion is a mask for the rage and fury that burns within, something only glimpsed in the moments where Noi enters the fray of battle.
Noi Rehw-Setlas
Lost between worlds that are not his own, he wanders, hunting for what is his. What could be.
A Practised Blade
Already well trained from his time as a Warder, Noi's talents were only further honed with a variety of other weapons - trained with blade and knives, as well as honed his body to the point that the viera no longer feels pain and sensation is dulled - and all things that come with that. Able to use whatever is at hand as a weapon, it goes beyond that, with his body itself being a dangerous weapon.
The Spymaster's Apprentice
Noi has spent the better part of the last decade under the watchful eye of a former Doman spy, and many lessons have been passed to the hare to ensure his success in handling information and spy networks. From hard learned lessons, to those gleaned from the conversations around him, the jack seems like he is all agility and speed, but he is much sharper and quicker than he lets on initially. His well-spoken and calm demeanour is a clever mask he's created for himself.
Warder or Breaker
There is a duality in his life - he is born of two different cultures. He maintains his roots as a Viera of the Golmore Jungle, keeping his title as a Wood Warder, where so many others might abandon it in shame or to start anew. But in the decade since, he has become so much more - a mercenary wielding the skills of Bozja, the lessons learned by a former spy. Noi struggles to find his identity, and who he is in this new life - and perhaps may find himself in a new life once more.
Aether Inured
Unlike many Viera, Noi has been exposed to considerably greater concentrations of aether - or Mist - than his kin. This is a dangerous, double-edged sword. It takes a greater amount of aether for the jack to enter a Mist Frenzy, but it also considerably heightens his aggression, his physical capabilities, all while further blinding him to friend or foe. With nothing holding him back, and everything on the line, Noi doesn't think twice about filling the air with charged aether around him, no matter the danger to himself.
